Condolences -  Charlene Anderson passed away at Elizabeth House on Monday, November 27, at the age of 95. She was married to Gordon Anderson. They lived together at Fletcher Park Inn all their married life of 20 years. We thank God for giving Charlene a long life of service as a dedicated follower of Jesus. We pray for God to comfort Gordon and Charlene’s surviving sister and her children. We eagerly await the day of Christ’s return, when He will raise believers in Him to life eternal.

Christmas Singles Event - held in the Fellowship Hall on December 2 from 3:30-7:00pm. Please come and bring a single friend. Program order:
3:30 bring food for light meal & drop off in the kitchen.
Menu: Soup, salad, sandwiches, Christmas cookies (cake provided). We will celebrate December birthdays.
4:00 pm - Attend Kelly Mowrer’s Christmas concert upstairs in our sanctuary.
5:00 - Fellowship hall for light meal.

Christmas Sing-along - You are invited to a special sing-along Christmas music service with concert pianist, Kelly Mowrer. Come enjoy beloved Christmas carols interwoven with Scripture and fascinating stories. We will be inspired and encouraged as we celebrate the birth of Jesus together and worship Him through music. December 2, at 4:00 pm in the sanctuary. Everyone welcome! Bring a friend.

Captain Gilmer Christian School  invites you - to attend their annual holiday program, entitled “Gods Gift at Christmas time. Joy, Love, Peace and Hope”. It will be held at the Lelia Patterson Center, on December 8, at 7:00pm. You may also watch it by broadcast at fletcheracademy.org  (Campus Life/Livestream). 

December 16 Potluck Lunch - we are inviting the Fletcher Academy dorm students to join us for a top-a-potato lunch. Potatoes will be provided. Please bring your favorite toppings, salads, or desserts.

Women’s Ministry Christmas Tea Party - Sunday, December 10, from 4:00pm - 6:00pm. Ladies your presence is requested and desired for fellowship, food, and fun. Enjoy tea, hot chocolate, and refreshments. Feel free to bring your favorite cookies or dessert to share if that is something you would like to do. Christmas Eve Celebration - 6:30pm Sunday, December 24, in the church sanctuary. Plan now to attend with your family and friends. The program will be filled with music and scripture about the birth of Jesus.

2024 Reformation Tour -  Journey with Pastor Ryan and Laura Ashlock in the footsteps of the Waldenses, John Huss, Martin Luther, John Calvin, and other Protestant Reformers September 24-October 8, 2024. God gave all so we can give freely - Annually our church has funded mission projects as one way to respond to God’s abundant generosity toward us. This year we have chosen a goal of $25,000 to support three mission projects: 1. 2024 Kenya Mission Trip - water purification systems and medical outreach (52%); 2. The Wyler Family - missionaries with Adventist Frontier Missions (28%); 3. Interfaith Assistance Ministry - serving our local community in Hendersonville and a wonderful partner with our Thrift Store Ministry (20%). Please mark your donation, “Fletcher Mission Fund.”

A celebration of the life - of Karen Syfert (mother of Erin Teague) will be held at the Upward SDA Church, 961 Upward Rd, Flat Rock, NC 28731, on Saturday, December 9, at 2:30 pm. Join us as we honor Karen and her impact on her family, church and community.
A Thanksgiving-themed fellowship meal from 12:30-2pm will precede the service, and refreshments will follow.
In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to support the 'Apples for the Teacher: A Fund for Educational Innovation' at the Upward Adventist School, where Karen volunteered, serving as a teacher's aide, treasurer and school board member. Donations can be made via GoFundMe or checks may be mailed to Upward Adventist School, 957 Upward Rd, Flat Rock, NC 28731. “Growing Together” - This event is designed for all church leaders, regardless of their department, and young adults as well.
